Antoinette
Chang, an avid fitness professional, has conducted many
health and fitness related workshops, demonstrations to the public and
appeared on
National Radio, magazines (Women's Weekly)
and local newspapers in terms of health
education. She specializes in
rehabilitation and therapy for special population such as arthritis,
back problems,
senior citizens, pre and post pregnancy.
With more
than 15 years of experience in fitness training and 5 years
of pilates and yoga practice, Ann has received teacher certification
from Australian Graduate School of Health &
Sports
Science (AGSHSS), Federation Internationale des Sports Aerobics et
Fitness
(FISAF), PhysicalMind Institute, Reebok University,
Singapore Sport Council (SSC)
and
YogaFit Training Systems Worldwide,Inc. She is currently understudying
Polestar Education for Pilates equipments. She holds a
higher
Diploma in Computer Science from Stanford University and was a System
/Software consultant for oil industries for 20 years.
Ann sufffered
rheumatoid arthritis since 1992 after her second child
birth. she could not walk and function properly for 2 years.Steriod was
her only relief for those years until her orthopaedist told her that
her bone were getting brittle. Ann decided to find other natural cure
and she found Yoga. It helped her attaining the flexibility and supple
in her body. Later, when she discover Pilates, she functioned better
and even shed the weight that she had been putting on since 1994, her
weight was at hefty 76kg till 2002 it sheded them through Yoga and
pilates which scaled at 56kg now.
